INSURANCE
Frequently asked questions about insuring a motorcycle or scooter
How can I get motorcycle insurance?
The best starting point is the comparison websites that you will find with a Google search. It’s alway good to check the excess and level of cover as sometimes the cheapest may not always be the best option. Also, it’s worth noting that if you’re a new rider, your first year will be pretty expensive. However, assuming you have no claims it should drop in the second year.
Can I ride a motorcycle without insurance?
No, you are legally required to have insurance before you ride away.
Where can I get my licence?
You will need to start with DVLA for a provisional licence. Once you have this, search for your local motorcycle and scooter rider training centre. They will then be able to provide you with a bike and kit to get you through your licence.
